Tourism businesses using social marketing are winning
Tourism businesses that embrace online review sites are reaping the benefits as travelers increasingly share their experiences.
Radfield House, a luxury B&B in Marlborough, New Zealand, has recently been named the number one Bed and Breakfast in the South Pacific.
As a result, Owner operator of Radfield House Jayne Telford, says Ninety-five per cent of their visitors come from www.tripadvisor.com.
Traditionally, reaching travelers at the right place at the right time has been a challenge for tourism businesses, or at best expensive.
As Tracy Johnston of Destination Marlborough puts it:
“Online customer reviews are influencing travellers’ decisions on where they stay and what they do. By providing consistently good service, tourism businesses will reap the rewards of this online forum…”
